Would like to restore an Allis-Chalmers U but I do not know the year it was built. This is all the information I could find located on it.
Engine Serial: S10A611Q (the second from last number may be an I or L and the last one might be a Q or it looked like a O with an L in it)
The casting mark on engine block behind magneto is 4-1-31 but was told it might not have been made in 31.
Additional mark on the transmission case is U25-5
Exhaust manifold is in the center and does not go through sheet metal.
Air cleaner is mounted on rear of engine head.
Any help to identify the year that it was manufactured would be appreciated.

Try a google search. There are several antique tractor sites out there. There are also lots of old "Orange" collectors.
www dot ytmag dot com, will be a good start. ....
