I have an elementary question: My cutter has 3/4" pins for attachment to my 3 point hitch. The hitch has holes that appear to be about 7/8". Both are nominally Category 1. Do I need to install a bushing on the pins first, or is some slop in the connection OK?

Clemson, I'm surprised that you'd have 3/4" pins. You could use bushings, but if it were me, I'd replace the pins with 7/8" pins. Wouldn't want the slack in the hookup that would eventually wallow out larger holes. ....

Sounds like the pins should have been larger for that cutter. I think I would talk to the dealer about it.
