My 1120 case set over the winter had to replace battery, but I cant start tractor now. Nothing happens when I turn the key, fuel pump runs and idiot lightas come on. I have tried to jump across starter and it spins but the solenoid wont engage it to flywheel, is this a starter problem or wiring and ignition switch problem?

I'd get a remote starter. (It's a box with a push-button and two leads coming out of it, about $10 at an auto-supply store. One lead alligators to the battery pos, the other clips to the starter terminal -- which may not be either of the two large terminals that you jumped.)
Brake set, everything in neutral and in start-up position, alternately push the button to spin the starter, and whack the solenoid with a hammer. ....

It sounds like not getting full power to the starter and it is spinning too slow to engage or the bendix is stuck. What has suggested might free if stuck but have you tried jumping the tractor to be sure you have enough power to really spin it?
You may find rather than battery issue or in addtion to it battery cables need cleaing. Have a Kubota that will glaze the cable where you can not see it but it sure prevents proper flow of current. ....
