I'm looking at a CC 7205 for mowing, tilling on 5 acres. What is the towing capacity of this tractor? I would like to use it to move a boat (about 3500 lbs) arround the property and give rides on a old hay wagon.

Ron you should have enough power for your needs as long as you don't have steep hills to deal with. ....

I don't know anything about the 7205, but as another data point I tow a 3500 lb. chipper around with my 32 hp hydro JD 4310 and it does fine going up some pretty steep hills. Not a lot of power to spare but it doesn't struggle. ....

I have a 7205 that I use for moving a loaded utility trailer around, probably 2,500 to 3,000 lbs fully packed. I can negotiate slight hills too, but much better if your property is level. At 3,500 lbs it outwieghs the little 7205 by a good bit, so be cautious. Also high range is useless for work and towing I think. If you can be satisfied going slow it will do fine.

It's a 20 horsepower hydro four wheel drive with a weight of about 1/2 the boat so caution should be used. I figure if I tow my boat with a two wheel drive golf cart and that weighs about 2500lbs you should be safe. I also tow cars and push them in with it. I'm just moving things in and out of the garage and around the yard not trying to tow it down the road at 30 mph. ....
