Go BottomGT1554 power but will not crank

I went to start my GT1554 and the battery was dead. Charged it then went to start it. When I turn the key the headlights come on and the red lights on the panel but the starter will not start cranking. Other the the lights going on nothing else happens, the lights don't go dim, no partial crank, nothing. Any Ideas what it could be or how to fix it. Thank you

Make sure it's not a safety cutoff blocking current to the starter. If not, jump or short the starter to make sure it's OK. If it is, check the electric connections and cables plus the key switch. ....
