Each model's owners manual has a specific procedure for bleeding the fuel system and starting. Did you follow them?

A diesel doesn't have to just turn over, it has to spin fast to start. Are your battery and starter turning it fast enough? And a full fuel tank can help a bit.

Detached fuel line is unusual. Could there be something else amiss? ....

Is it a line that could have been pulled off by a limb or must a wrench be used? Is it possible some one did damage to the motor?

But if it is almost starting such as air in line do follow suggestion for proper bleeding it but WD 40 does help in such starting if you have someone to help you. ....
