I have a 782 Cub Cadet. I actually had two, one with a good engine and one with a good transaxle, and I combined the best of both. When using the one with the good transaxle, it held on a steep hill perfectly. After I combined the two, I'm afraid to even go gown a hill because when trying to hold it back on the same hill it actually applies the brake and when you put it in forward it takes off too fast. I know it has to be an adjustment. I'm a 74 year old woman and determined enough to combine the two, but not sure or smart enough to figure out what to adjust.
Please help and be explicit.

I don't know which linkages you have changed for the operation of the transmission and depending on the amount of tear down depends on what you need to do. You will need the book! ....

I didn't tear down anything; just a complete swap. ....
