I'm trying to rig a pump to a 30 gal plastic drum for diesel fuel storage.
Finding the fittings I need to connect the suction pipe inside the tank to the inlet line to the pump has become a real challenge as I can't find a fitting that will work anywhere.
Can Anybody help me out here?

Solved the problem :
Had a plumbing shop weld a 2''x3/4" reducer and a 3/4" collar together this morning.

Lbrown59,
Please make sure that your barrel is suitable for storing diesel fuel. Many plastics dissolve when exposed to petro-chemicals.
Also check to be sure that you're not in violation of some fire code. It is generally OK to store small amounts of fuel in a garage -- but when storing larger quantities, there are regulations in place which require a METAL tank, placed a certain number of feet away from any structure.
Additional regulations may pertain, especially if your garage is attached to your home.
Please check with your local Fire Marshall. Your local codes may well differ from mine.
