I have a Mahindra 3505. When using the tractor there is considerable seepage of fluid in the area below the seat. Is some seepage normal? How much indicates a problem?

Thanks,
D. Land

If it's diesel then it should be repaired. The most likely source is a hydraulic fitting. There may be a loader valve near the front and some lift components near the rear. It's fairly common for hydraulic fittings to seep but it shouldn't happen if a good mechanic took time to do proper assemblies.

Fittings aren't too difficult to reseal--using liquid or tape sealer as directed. Over-tightening fittings often makes seepage worse instead of better. ....
