I’m shopping for my first tractor and need help from you pros. I have 5 acres of lawn to mow regularly and 2 acres to bush hog a couple times a year. I’ve narrowed the field to two. Kubota’s B2910 and Newholland’s TC33D w/SS. Both tractors equipped with 72” MMM and FEL. Later I’ll add a 60”or 72” rotary cutter. I’m on the fence with these two and need help going one way or the other. I understand the importance of price and a good relationship with a dealer but for now I’d like to limit the criteria to performance, reliability, function and the compatibility of after market implements. Any help is appreciated. Also, it is amazing how much one can learn in a short time absorbing the knowledge posted on this board.

Thanks to all,
Bob

Bob, this one is really your choice. You're not going to make a wrong decision with either. On the specifics of what you're asking, they are really about the same. I would give an edge to the NH with SS if you have a lot of obstacles to get around. On the other hand, the FEL on the Kubota is probably a little stronger and would give Kubota the edge if you are doing a lot of loader work. NH is coming out with a new loader shortly. Best I can do to help on this one.

Do not overlook the Korean tractors. They are on par with the Japanese offerings from the major brands. Mahindra,Century/Branson,Kioti,Long,TAFE,.....all are good tractors to consider also. ....

Both tractors you have pick are good choices. Make sure you go and test drive them and see which one you like best the SS is a really nice feature. ....

I have a Boomer 33 with superstear and loader. I probably use the loader 25 percent time, the brush work 25 percent and cutting with a 72 mmm rear discharge 50 percent. I don't know that I would change to another tractor unless someone offered SS. ....
