Haven't been on here for awhile, but here it goes. My two eldest sons, 11 and 8 years old, get a collectible 1/16 Ertl tractor each year. One gets a John Deere, one gets anything Case/IH/NH. Now, my wife goes and gets, well you get the idea, now I have a 11 1/2 month old son, and looking for ideas for him to have a special collectible each year. Doesn't have to be a tractor...possibly a train, etc.

Blueman,
Happened to be looking as this same option today. What we have found as options for our grandson are:
Cat's Machines, Bobcat, and a few odd and end of others brands. Found one model Kubota tractor, one model track hoe and one z turn mower today. I think New Holland has a good line. Cat has some in Northern Tool Catalog.
Congratulations on the children! ....

DOH! And all these years I've been buying the full-size ones!
Seriously though, e-Bay has an extensive selection. And there are clubs who specialize in these collectibles. A friend showed me a catalog from one mfg. that must have been a 1/2" thick just for cars. Bobcat has radio controlled versions that really operate. And they're only about $50 used or $90 new. ....
