My 2007 JD Gator XUV with only 20 hrs (gas not diesel)has engine "tick" noise at idle. I can't tell whether this noise is coming from the lifters or transaxle. Regardless, it seems excessive to me for a $10K machine. I was wondering if this is normal to the Gator XUV. I looked at a yamaha Rhino and didn't hear any engine noise at idle. Does anyone else out there have this problem with their Gator XUV?

I've got an 07 XUV with 140 hrs. Mine had a more of a "rattle" than a "tick" that was in time with the engine at idle and just a bit above idle. They traced it to a washer that was jingleing on a linkage of some sort under the box. Noise is gone. Frank. ....
