New here. Justy acquired a mid 90's Gator 4x6>
How do I hook up a tach to my Gator? Has a FD620D (kawasaki) engine. Not sure where to attach my 'hot' lead so I can measure RPM and make Fast and Slow Idle speed adjustments.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
you could try just winding it around one of the spark plug leads a few times - depending on the input impedance of the meter it might work..... ....

Thanks for the feedback; I tried that and got no deflection on my tach.
I just ordered a digital tach (<$25 from Amazon), it should arrive in a day or two. Will let you know how it works out by replying again. ....
