A dealer near me gave me a quote for a 4310,4wd,folding ROPS,E-hydro,DSCV,R-4 tires, $16,900. ,430 fel w/73"HD bucket, hood guard $3,115. ,LX5 bh $1044. ,665 tiller $2,295. 72" LP BB $799. Grand total $24,153. also - $825. for retail and impliment bonus. I checked with one other dealer and they were almost 2700 higher. I have seen ads in equipment swappers that are lower but are 70 miles away. Any info would be apreceiated. This will be my first CUT purchase.

Those do sound like fair prices.

I just purchased a 4710 and various attachments. When I went to deal price I asked for the MSRP (You can find MSRP on the Deere web site also) I took MSRP X .825 (17.5% Discount).

Don't know if that was the absolute rock bottom price I could have gotten but I felt it was a fair deal for me.

You also need to keep in mind that a good local dealer can really make a difference down the road. (He needs to make a buck or two to stay in business)

Good luck...

I probably should have mentioned that the SCV outlets that you might be thinking of cannot be used for the backhoe. The power beyond outlets offer hydraulic fluid under full flow and pressure, but the SCV outlets do not. ....

Is the power beyond kit different from the 3rd 4th and5th scv's. can it be added at a later date without having to take the tractor back to the dealer. Or does the tractor have to be split. ....

Yes, it's different and yes, PB and SCVs can be added later. Mine were dealer installed at time of purchase but they don't split the tractor to add the extra hydraulics. I'm sure a mechanically inclined individual could install them and the JD installation manuals seem to be fairly detailed. If you don't know, SCV means Selective Control Valve which means there are driver controls installed to operate the valves. Generally, the third SCV has a lever control of it's own and the 4th and 5th SCV are operated off the loader joystick by flicking a switch that operates an electric diverter valve. The PB kit doesn't have any operator controls, it just brings full hydraulic flow out to the rear of the tractor. ....

Kwschumm....I noticed your pic of the tractor on its side. Did you have your belt on ? If not did you bail ? How much damage did the tractor sustain ? Were you hurt ? I have a pretty steep slope on one of my hills and tipping has always been a nightmare of mine. Do you have a tilt meter on your 4310 ? ....

The belt and ROPS did their jobs and I wasn't injured. The tractor wasn't even scratched, but the battery did have to be replaced because a cap came off and the acid leaked out of one cell. A tiltmeter wouldn't have helped because the soil collapsed suddenly under the left side which caused the rollover. ....
