My goodness. You are in the Cook Islands. I have no idea where they are.

I think you said the steering is fine with the fronts off the ground. It might be helpful to know if (a) something is binding from the weight, (b) if it's from a geometry change when the front is down, or (c) if there is no PS but you can't tell when the wheels are free. So you could do this.

Raise the fronts. Put some grease on a wood surface under each front. Have a helper steadily steer from one lock to the other with instructions to yell when there's resistance. Lower the fronts gradually while you watch the steering mechanism. If the resistance starts suddenly, you might be able to see why if you're watching the change from free to binding.
