We are wondering how to determine the value of a Kubota 2400 tractor, with brush hog, loader and thatcher. I don't know how to determine the year, or what the hours are. Please tell me how to determine the year; where the hour gauge is located and how to determine fair value.

A car has a design life of 10-15 years and every year's model is different, so whether it's a '91 or a '96 affects its value. But a tractor should last for a half century, and each model typically has a production run of 5-10 years, so its year of manufacture doesn't mean much.
On the dash there should be a dial that shows engine revs and total hours. I don't know Kubotas and there are other variables, but as a starting place if it's a current model in decent shape I'd guess the package value to be $8-12k. ....
