Anyone having leak down problems w/this back-hoe? Mine, purchased new in June '08, has been in the shop 4 times and nearly all of the valves have been replaced. All cylinders on the BH creap down, especially the boom. Probably due to weight.

I think the better way to phrase that question would be does anyone have a B/H (of any brand) that DOES NOT creep down?

My #48 Deere has always slowly let the stabilizers partway down in a day or two. I always rest the bucket on the ground or put the lock up pin in when I park it so I don't know if the boom leaks down or not. I never figured it really mattered. ....

This one creaps down quickly while working the tractor. It's a pain that you have to constantly reach back and raise the boom and then the seat switch cuts off the engine. Always happens at the most inopportune time. ....

Somethings funny there, a) that is a little much, and b) if it's been in the shop why did it not cure it?
Have you done any testing to see where it's leaking past the seals?
It's an easy one to do yourself, no special tools or anything.

Son't see any external leakage. Think it must be in the valve body and leaking back to the reservoir. ....

Not necessarily, in fact in my experience 99% of all leaks are internal, but usually in the cylinders themselves.
Usually the valves are rated much higher than the valves, so when you over-load the B/H the cylinder seals go first.
