Looking for thoughts on using the 3 point hitch to mount a backhoe onto my Kubota L3400. Mine has a Kubota front loader but the subframe does not include the backhoe attachment frame.

Was looking at buying a backhoe that attaches to the 3 point hitch but worry that a backhoe could overload the structure and risk fracturing the gearbox or trractor frame.

Will appreciate feedback form folks with experience/knowledge on this subject.

Welcome to the form;
That subject comes up pretty often here.
Regardless of the brand of tractor you'll be hard pressed to find many here who have actually used one that will recommend it.
Without a subframe for the hoe they will eventually destroy the three point hitch if not more.
They look good in the slick brochure, but that's not the way it really is.

They are at a lower price and for some they have had no issues with using a three point hitch backhoe.

For others it has been a night mare!

The factory hoe for those is 7.5 foot backhoe that is a full frame unit.

I often think of Texas as being a sand state so digging could be easy! A smaller bucket would also help to hold the stress down.

To think that you might be using it often might mean that the full frame would still be a bargin. ....
