Can anyone tell me how to remove and change the alternator belt on a MF-20C ?
Looks like the lower pully bolts on with three 9/16 inch bolts but I am not sure if this is the way to remove the belt.
When I try to remove the bolts the pully is turning making the job difficult. It also seems like I need to remove the steering arm to get at the pully.
Anyone out there done this job or know how to?
:(

I know nothing of your machine but it would seem that if you do get the pulley bolts off and the pulley, you may never get the new belt on. There should be some sort of adjustment bolt that allows the alternator to slide enough to allow the belt to come off, install a new and readjust it. That said, I have had to in some emergencies used a flat screw driver under the belt to coax it off/on by flicking the starter (with spark plugs disconnected or power off so it won't start). Be VERRRRY careful.

Nubbs ....
