I've looking at a 2002 TC40D with 4W Drive, Hydro, Loader 17 EL and a 913A Belly mounted finish mower with 200 hours. The price they are asking is $18,700.
Is this a fair price to pay?
Thanks from a new member!

If its in good condition, it sounds right in the ball park.
Try to get anouther 1k off and it will be a great price.
On a side note though, that is what I think for my area, I realize and you should 2 that different areas bring different prices to the table. ....

That tractor with a 17la loader will have super steer combine that with the mower and you are right on target. ....

I asked them about Super Steer and they informed me that it was not equipped with it. I guess a test drive is in order. Thanks so much for your input.

I guess I don't exactly know the difference in loaders, say between a 16 and 17. Sounds like I need to do some more research.
Thanks ....

Just got back from looking at the tc40D again. You are right it does have supersteer. How much of an increase in used cost is that worth?

Thanks
Jeff ....

The price you stated before is about right on. The difference between having and not having super steer is about $2500. ....

The 17la goes on the SS models. Front end issues.
Also the 17 lifts just a bit less.
I thought it sounded like a good price and if you could knock anouth K off it it would be a great price, although It sounds like the owners dont know what they have? I may be reading your post wrong also.
Look into the new tc33 and price it out with the financeing. I wonder if NH is coming out with a comparable no intrest deal Like the green machine has now?
Good luck and dont rush get what you need or you will never be truely happy ....

I need some NH advice as well . Could you please compare the loader work efficiency in the 1998 1720 4WD($9K) gear to a 2002 TC 30 or 35D hydro($15K) as well as a 1999 1920 4WD($13K) gear. There are a lot of fans on the 1720 and 1920's that say it will out work the new TC's. I realize that many people prefer hydro for short loader work.
Thanks a lot. ....

I love th Tc30 out of every tractor NH puts out today. There HP is under rated and the will work there balls of and ask for more. The 1720 is less HP and the 1920 is about the same hp. They all have the same loader. Weight on the three varies by only a few pounds. If you want warranty go with the new Tc30 if you are going on cost alone go with the 1920. ....
