I have a 1989 ford 3910 and wonder how to bleed fuel pump after changing the filters. I think the pump brand is Stanadyne. Not sure where the manual pump is for bleeding or if it has one.
I very mechanical , but want start something until I understand it better. Diesel is not my specialty.

Thanks for any advise. J.R.

Where is the fuel tank located? I believe that tractor is gravity fed. You will want to prefill the filter with fuel. follow the fuel line to the injection pump. where it goes into the pump the should be a bleed screw or banjo bolt there to loosen and fuel should bleed it self off. ....

Yeah it's a gravity fed one. If I fill the fuel filters and turn over while bleeding that screw that should do it?
Thanks in advance. ....

Oops sorry guess it was a late night last night.
I was half asleep when I read your repy. I get it now.
The fuel will flow out most air , then snug screw back up and it should start.
Thanks much. ....

That is it. Just watch for the bubbles to stop and a steady flow of fuel. ....
