The fuel gauge on the tractor does not work correctly. I am the second owner, but according to the first owner it has never worked accurately. Does anyone have a solution or experienced the problem?

Most of the guages I know of read on resistance. So the guage will read all the one way with the wire diconnected from the sender, then read all the way the other way with it shorted. If your tractor does this correctly, your sender most likely is bad. If your sender only has one wire going to it, make sure it has a ground somewhere. ....
