I was curious as to what anybody thought about these Iron Horse Tractors. Whether they are comparable to the name brand tractors in price or specifications.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi there! It is not necessary to post this to every forum on Tractor Point. Most people here read most forums. Posting it once to the other tractors forum should be adequate. ....

Iron Horse is merely one of a dozen or more names for a rebadged Jinma, in this case it's a JM254 with yellow paint and IHT-254 decal. And since Jinma is discussed regularly on most tractor-related forums, I won't bother to go over old ground. Simply re-route your search engine to return JM254 info, and you'll probably get back more than you ever wanted to know.

It's my understanding that an Iron Horse is a remanufactured Jimna with all the flaws taken out of it making it a better tractor. ....

Let me guess. You heard that from somebody who sells Iron Horse, or from somebody who talked to somebody who sells Iron Horse.

I suspected as much. An Iron Horse is just a Jinma of another color. As as become very VERY evident over the last few year, the very VERY most important factor influencing Jinma owner satisfaction - is the quality of the (out of the crate) assembly AND service after sale. Both of these are 100% dealer/seller related. The tractors themselves are basically all the same.

I own an IRONHORSE I-224 and love it! It has been running great in the winter and summer. It has been very dependable in the field and plowing snow. Maintance is simple. It's been in use for over a year and a half - 200+ hours nothing to complain about! ....

I ended up buying an IH 224. I was having some problems with the backhoe and the dealer sent up his mechanic with a new backhoe and swapped it out in my driveway. ....
