I need a 48 inch 3 pt tiller, but can not afford 15 to 17 hundred dollers. King Kutter has a local farm store with a 60 inch, but my compact can not handle that big of tiller. They will order a 48 inch King Kutter, but said it could take 2 months. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks

King Kutter is a good quality tiller. You can't go wrong there, but you'll have to decide if you can wait. I bought a used 52" Woods brand tiller from my local equipment rental store for less than $1K. I took a risk that it hadn't been abused, because they let me try it out and it didn't look beat up. It has worked out good for me (I've had it for 3 years). Either buy used or wait for the KK. If you do buy used, get a high quality brand with US service available so that you can get parts if needed (Woods, Landpride, Bush hog, or JD, NH, Kubota). ....
