It's easier to sit a blower in the bucket than it is to supply power to it (to rotate the chute and especially to spin the auger and fan).

Since I have a blower for my battery-operated Electrac, I thought of using that, and getting a 36V inverter to power it from the Yanmar battery. Didn't, because I figured the little alternator wouldn't keep with the power drain, and as the blower is one-stage I likely wouldn't be able to go any faster than with the electric garden tractor. And I'd have to rig something for chute control.

Also looked into buying a large gas-engine blower and rigging it for bucket-carry. Decided the work I'd save by letting the tractor wrestle it around would be matched by the fabrication work and purchase cost.

....
