For some hydraulic lines I'm putting together I need to reduce from 1 1/4" pipe thread down to 3/4. The only reducer bushings I could find were galvanized. Is there a possible reaction from the oil and the galvanized coating? I know diesel will flake the coating off a galvanized fuel can but will a similar thing happen to hydraulic oil?
To be sure, I'll look elsewhere for non-galvanized bushings. Even so I'd like any opinions.
