Go Bottomford 1210 4wd is hanging up making clicking noise

I was picking up heavy slabs of concrete when I backed up in reverse trans made a noise.I jacked up tractor to get wheels off ground.when I shift from 4wd to 2wd the front shaft sTill turns and it seems to make a clicking sound every 3 or 4 turns of the wheel.also when in 2wd the front wheels lock up every 3 turns any help would be much appreciated thanks

Are you sure you external linkage did not get bent and is not shifting fully? To me if not something simple in the linkage you have damage in the transmission either shifter or gear or both. NOTE I am not a mechanic but have been there with transmission noise. ....
