Anyone care to comment on differences between these 2 models? Looking for a tractor mostly for mowing thick grass on 8 acres.

790 is bare-bones and rugged, but has weaker hydraulics and is manual shift only. But is is more of a "tractor" with a dual stage clutch.
4110/15 is smaller and has less HP but can lift more and has more creature comforts like the shifter for the manual trans is right on your left, not tucked under your legs and also has more gears...also has hydro option which is nice.
I personally went for the 4110 gear (a rare breed...all going to hydro now) over the 790 and couldn't be happier. I got tired of fighting on the floor with my last tractor's shifter and like the semi-kinda-shuttle-like way the 4110 shifts. Plus I got a good deal ($11,500) and the 790 was still near $15. I just wish my 4110 had one thing the 790 has...the dual stage clutch so you can stop while still keeping 3PH going. ....
