Someone who is familiar with Jinma 6" wood chipper: What engine rpm is needed to get enough pto rpm to operate this chipper? I have a Ford 3000 & I need some info before I purchase soon.
Thanx,
Cotton

The engine RPM which will spin the PTO at the proper speed (540 rpm) should be found in your owner's manual. I think on a 3000 it should be at about 1900 rpm.
Generally it is near (but less than) full throttle.
It depends greatly though on what you are chipping, and how big the power supply is. We often run small stuff through at much less than 540 without much problem.
Best of luck. ....
