Is a Woods 5000 the same as the Bearcat 70554. They sure look the same and have similar specs. Want to buy one but no dealers in my area stock them. Any info would be helpful.

I have the Woods 5000 and believe that the two are basically the same except for paint. The blower add-ons are different, Woods is single speed and Bearcat is two speed. Bearcat has one or two more accessories. I did not compare pricing. ....

I was quoted a price of $2600 for the woods 5000. Would this be a fair price.I also heard of a Bearcat 73554,I guess it's similar but a better built machine. If anyone has used one I'd appreciate the info,I think I seen it priced at $3600. ....

The Bearcat 70554 I saw looked identical to the Woods 5000 to me. You would have to put them side by side to determine any differences and I think that they would be small. Weight specs would be something to look at.

I paid $2300 two years ago for my Woods 5000.
